This website is a job & career portal for the service of jobseekers on one side and employers on the other. Details about vacancies are posted online by employers and jobseekers can post their resume (curriculum vitae).

1. The website has three types of users:

  • Unregistrated users
  • Job seekers
  • Employers

2. Jobseekers

  • Unregistered users
  • Registered users

3. Unregistered users

  • The unregistered users can search for jobs and can see the search results as category, location, the amount of vacancies en the date when posted. Full details are only visible for registered users.

4. Registered users

  • Member can post his resume and portfolio.
  • Member can print the resume. (in webpage)
  • Member can search through the jobs posted by recruiters.
  • Members can respond on jobs, and are able to send his / her resume to the recruiter by using the website.
  • Member can block specific companies to see his / her resume.
  • Jobs can be searched by using variables like; job type, location etc.
  • Member can view company details. Member can update his / her profile.
  • Member can view a list of the jobs he applied for.
  • Member can send a job to a friend by email.
  • Member can hide his contact information.
  • Member can make their resume to view / to search or hide them from display or searching.
  • Member can build his / her resume using a step-by-step resume-building wizard.
  • Member can add a cover letter.
  • Member can add jobs to ‘my jobs’ for later viewing.
  • Member can view how many time his resume is viewed by recruiters.
  • Member can receive a automated job application response.
  • Member can add / edit / activate or delete his job search agent.
  • Job alter will be automatically send jobs that match user specified criteria by email daily.

5. My jobs

  • Member can search for jobs in various ways and can apply from there.
  • Stored and applied jobs will be in the ‘my jobs’ page for future reference.

6. My portfolio

  • Member can update his profile here.
  • Member can upload his resume here or create a new resume by using a provided step-by-step guide.
  • Option to upload screenshots of work, letters of recommendation and any other items they like to show to potential employers.
  • Job alerts subscription: member is able to subscribe to alterts and emails of the desired categories. He receives a daily email whenever there are new job openings.
  • Confidential settings: This module gives to enable / disable their contact details. Member is able to set confidentially settings in the following two ways: Employer should be able search for jobseekers resumes and all the details with the jobseeker holding the right to mask the name and contact information. However the employer should be able to send a email to the jobseeker through a link provided by the portal.
  • Job seekers have the option to upload resumes without allowing any sort of access by the employer. Their resumes will not be appearing through the search facility. However, they can apply for any number of jobs available by clicking on the job code and pressing the submit button.

7. Career advice

  • This option can spread updated content about careers through the website members.

8. Job search

  • User can give keywords to represent their interests.
  • User can choose locations and radius.
  • User can select the their min. and max. years of work experience.
  • User can select company type like company jobs, consultant jobs, all jobs etc.
  • User can select the job freshness like today, last 7 days, last 15 days, last 30 days etc.
  • User can select the category of their interest.
  • User can search by company name in company listing. Searched jobs can be stored in ‘my jobs’ folder.

9. Job seekers

  • Recruiters can post their company profile.
  • During the inactive period the recruiter is able to do all activities related to the posted job like; change the status of the job seekers resume to a short list, rejected, blocked, caked for interview etc.
  • The recruiter is able to delete job postings which are inactive.
  • After the recruiter has posted a job on the website he’s not able to change it during the given time online.
  • Job postings can be limited to 1500 characters. Each employer can place as many jobs as his package allows. This number can be controlled by the website admin.
  • Recruiter is able to view his job posting in a testmode.
  • All the jobs posted by the recruiters are accessible by guests and users.
  • Recruiters can only see resumes from jobseekers who applied.

10. Job seekers -> Home

  • Recruiters can view newest profiles posted in the website according to their selected keywords.
  • Recruiter can set preferences like major, fulltime or internship.
  • Recruiters will receive a email notification before the job posting is to be deleted to make sure they save related data.

11. Search jobseekers

  • Recruiter can create a new search.
  • Recruiter can copy his previous searches and save them.
  • Recruiter can create alerts for registration of certain types of candidates in the future.
  • Recruiter can view matching profiles according their requirements.

12. Financials

  • Recruiter needs to pay to search the job resumes. This payment can be done by implementing payment gateways like Paypal.
  • Recruiter needs to pay for his package which contains a certain amount of job postings.
  • Recruiter can view his financial activity; historical / current / projected- outstanding- paid- invoices.

13. User registration

  • Job seekers
  • New users can sign-up by filling in their details.
  • User has to accept the terms and conditions.
  • User has to confirm his membership by email.

14. Admin Panel; the site configuration is controlled by the admin and contains:

15. User management

  • Admin can add / edit / delete jobs, employers, jobseekers and job categories.
  • Admin has access to the jobseeker and employer control panel.
  • Admin can search jobseekers and employers by keywords, name, email address etc.
  • Admin can set variable packages wit varying prices for employers.
  • Admin can change the number of days jobs posting will run and the number of days for resume search access.
  • Admin can send invoices to company’s.
  • Featured showcases are maintained by the admin.

16. Activity reports

  • Reports like new jobseekers and employers accounts, number of emails sent out to jobseekers and employers, job click through, searches can be viewed by the admin.
  • Admin can view reports on total system sales, jobs, jobseekers, recruiters, accounting and order history data, sent invoices on monthly / yearly basis.
  • Admin can print full lists of jobseekers and employers in the database with their contact information.
  • Admin his the option of database back-up.
  • Administrator can setup multiple admins with access privileges.

17. Content management

  • Admin can sent newsletters to employers that signed up for the mailing list.
  • RSS – feed that contains the latest job openings which can be used by other websites and in feedreaders.
  • Admin can post articles and the ability to send these to jobseekers / employers.
